Located east of the city of Porto, The city and municipality of Valongo is bordered to the north by the municipality of Santo Tirso, northeast with Paços de Ferreira, to the east with Paredes, to the southwest with Gondomar and to the west with the municipality of Maia.Area and Population
With an area of 75 km², the municipality of Valongo currently has a population of 94,672 inhabitants (INe, 2021).Unlike many municipalities in the country, Valongo has experienced continuous population growth.
