The municipality of Torres Vedras has an area of 407 km² in a population of 83,075 inhabitants (INE, 2021). In 2011, the municipality had 79,465 inhabitants, having had a population gain of around 4.5%.

Location

About 40 minutes from Lisbon, the municipality of Torres Vedras is limited to the north by Lourinhã, to the northeast with Cadaval, to the east with Alenquer, to the south with Sobral de Monte Agraço and Mafra; to the west, with the Atlantic Ocean.
